Why “Storyfelters”?

the-storyfelters

It was 2019. We were telling Bible stories to our kids using felt paper.

While enjoying the moment, we thought of combining the word “story” with “felter,” and came up with “Storyfelters.” Eventually, we realized the name we came up with was more than just the use of felt paper.

“Felter” means tangling or matting together. It is like binding separate materials to come up with a brand-new material or product. The name created a longing to combine literature and learning with the gospel message.

We believe, at an age where the pursuit of knowledge is largely secular, there is an immense need for materials written from a Christian perspective.

Hi, there!

We are Dennis and Barbie Dawal, a husband-and-wife team who homeschools our three kids.

As a homeschooling family, we want our children’s homeschooling experience fulfilling through an innovative learning system that’s flexible, affordable, and geared towards training them to the successful Christian intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs.

There is no dichotomy between education and theology. All education is theological. Whatever we believe about God, whether it is a belief in His existence and revelation or a denial of them, would translate into how we perceive life and the world around us.
